Keayari Thompson, Benoit Delly among USATF Georgia Junior Olympics Championship
On Thursday, the USATF Georgia Association Junior Olympic T&F Championships got underway at Morrow High School in a day full 800 meter races that included wins and PR’s for several runners including Morgan Means (Drive Phase – 2:14.86) in the girls 15-16 run and Benoit Delly (Takeoff) taking the boys 15-16 800 meter run in a PR time of 2.00.89.
In the girls 17-18 run, Shari Brown (unattached), who finished her junior season at Landmark Christian School with a second place finish in the Georgia High School Association Class 2A Track and Field state championship, set a personal best with a 2:16.84 first place finish. And in the boys 17-18 800M run, Keayari Thompson (Westlake) would take the top spot in a time of 1.52.68, a personal best.
The USATF Region 4 Championships will take place July 4 – 7 at Morrow High School.
