Lake Travis Rolls To 86-64 Win Over Judson Behind Hudson Greer's 35 Points

(Texas) Before heading into the Thanksgiving break, the Lake Travis Cavaliers boys basketball team, looking to improve to 5-0, hosted the Judson Rockets, who at 4-1, looked to end their two game skid. With the game underway, the Cavaliers took control as they opened the first quarter on a 12-2 run, led by sophomore Hudson Greer, who finished with 35 points. Taking advantage height and length, Lake Travis would force several Judson turnovers and would close out the first quarter with a 27-9 lead.

In the second quarter, the Rockets would find themselves by as many as 20 points before going on a 16-9 run of their own to cut the Lake Travis lead down to 13 points as they trailed 38-25. However, the Cavaliers would regroup and close out the period on a 8-1 run and would lead the Rockets 46-26 at the half. The Lake Travis dominance would continue throughout the remainder of the third and fourth quarter as they would go on to pick up the 86-64 win.

“I think just the chemistry with our guys, they’ve kind of grown up playing together so they do a good job of moving, spacing the floor and for the most part, they’ve had some playoff experience so they have some composure at times,” Lake Travis head coach Clint Baty said of his players following Tuesday’s win. That composure was evident when the Cavaliers withstood the Judson second quarter run as they were able to close out the quarter with a 20 point lead. “They do a good job of staying composed,” Baty said.
