Langston Hughes Host "All Comers" Meet
On Saturday, the Langston Hughes track and team held their “All Comers” meet featuring several teams from around the metro Atlanta area and surrounding counties. The Panthers’ “All Comers” was not a meet in which there would be team winners at the end of the day, instead, the meet was an opportunity for “coaches to enter up to five athletes in individual events to evaluate them in a competitive setting,” Langston Hughes coach, Kevin Foster said of the event.
Among teams there that had a good showing were the Luella Lions, who started the day with first place finishes in the girls 100M hurdles as Maddison McLaurin finished with a first place time of 16.53, the boys 110M hurdles with Devonte Jackson taking first in a time of 15.69, just beating out Riverwood’s Janon Redmond (15.79). The Lions would also finish first in the girls (Kameron Noble – 13.13) and boys (Jordan David – 11.25) 100M dashes.
