Lowndes, Valdosta and Parkview, Grayson Football Match Ups To Be Televised On ESPN
On Tuesday, this Friday's football match up between the Lowndes Vikings and the Valdosta Wildcats will now garner national attention as it was announced that the game will now be televised on ESPN 2. Known as the Winnersville Classic, Lowndes will look to remain perfect, while Valdosta looks to bounce back from their loss to Wildcats' head coach Rush Prospt's former team, Colquitt County. Valdosta will also be heading into their third game without quarterback Jake Garcia, who has officially been ruled ineligible by the Georgia High School Association, following their investigation into Garcia's transfer from California. GHSA ruled that the Garcia family did not make a bona fide move to meet the GHSA transfer requirements. ESPN also announced that the October 30 match up between Parkview and Grayson will also be televised on ESPN 2. Both games are part ESPN Geico High School Football Showcase.
