Marietta Defeats McEachern 18-7, Goes 3-0 On The Day To Remain Unbeaten


On Thursday, the Marietta Blue Devils women's flag football team hosted three region opponents in a triple header. The Blue Devils took care of business in the opening game, defeating Kennesaw Mountain ahead of their match up with the McEachern Indians. In game two against the Indians, Marietta's defense would put them on the board first as Zoe Adams came up with an interception and returned it for a touchdown as the Blue Devils took a 6-0 lead. Later in the first half, Marietta's offense would final strike as quarterback McKaela Walker connected with McKenzie Walker for a touchdown pass at the buzzer sounding the end of the half. The Blue Devil offense would score once more in the second half as Walker would throw her second touchdown pass of the day to Adams to give Marietta a 18-0 lead. McEachern would eventually score with about three minutes remaining in the game, but that would be their only score of the game as Marietta picked up the 18-7 win. The Blue Devils would go on to defeat Osborne in the their third game of the night to go 3-0 on the day and improve to 6-0-1 on the season. Watch highlights from the game below now!
