Marist, Blessed Trinity tops at Metro Atlanta Track and Field Championship

On Monday, the 10th Annual Metro Atlanta Track and Field Championship concluded with day two of finals of running events as the Marist War Eagles girls (126 pints) and Blessed Trinity boys (160 points) would win their respective sides of the meet.
With there being several top performances of the day, Blessed Trinity’s Jeffrey Daniels, would have one top outings of the day as he would win the boys 100 meter dash (10.91), the 200 meter dash (21.74) and help the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams claim first place finishes as well.
“Coming out here, I knew I had to just do well and put on for my school,” Daniels said following his participation in the 4x100 relay as he praised the competition he was among, helping him push himself on Monday. “Just glad I came out on top,” Daniels added.
Whitefield Academy’s Elise Duncanson would also have one a great day claiming the girls 100 meter dash (12.40), 200 meter dash (24.89) and helping the 4x100 meter relay team win first as well. Mount Vernon’s Kennedy Reynolds would sweep both the girls hurdle events, taking the 100 meter hurdles in 14.67and the 300 meter hurdles in 43.93.
