Mays Bounces Back From Season Opener Loss With Win Over South Atlanta At In The Paint Classic

On Saturday, the Mays Raiders and the South Atlanta Hornets went head to head in the opening game of the Under Armour Hard In The Paint Classic. The Raiders looked to bounce back from their season opening loss to Walnut Grove on Friday. The Raiders would set the tempo early and open up the game on an 8-0 run in the first quarter and lead 17-12 at the end of the opening period. Mays would start the second quarter in pretty much the same manner as they did in the first with another 8-0 ru n and would outscore the Hornets in the second quarter 17-4 to lead 34-16 at the half. The Raiders dominance on both ends of the court would continue in the third and fourth quarter as they would go on to pick up the 68-29 win.
