Norcross Defeats South Gwinnett 45-14, Improves To 3-0, QB Mason Kaplan Throws For Three Touchdowns

On Friday, two of Gwinnett County's undefeated teams went head to head as the South Gwinnett Comets who were 3-0 heading into the match hosted the Norcross Blue Devils who came in at 2-0. The Blue Devils wasted no time getting things rolling offensively as they would score on their opening drive when quarterback Mason Kaplan threw his first of three touchdown passes to Trey Goodman, who was the recipient of two of Kaplan's touchdown throws. The Norcross defense and special teams also played well Friday night as the special teams came up with an early blocked punt and recovery which led to an offensive score for the Blue Devils. And in the second quarter, the Blue Devils defense would recover a South Gwinnett fumble and score on the ensuing possession. After putting up 35 first half points, Norcross would go on to pick up the 45-14 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
