North Atlanta Opens Region Play With 2-0 Win Over Tucker
On Tuesday, the North Atlanta Warriors opened up region play hosting the Tucker Tigers and Morrow Mustangs and would get the day started with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. The Warriors were pretty much in control of both sets throughout the match as they would take set one 25-7 and set two 25-9.
Following their win over Tucker to open up region play 1-0, North Atlanta assistant coach, Lane Perno said she felt the team “looked strong” during the match and was happy with their overall performance. “It was good for us to come out and let everyone get some playing time. We looked really good and strong and kept our focus up,” Perno said after the win.
Coach Perno did note a few key areas she would like to see the Warriors work on as they get set for the remainder of both their regular season and region schedule. “I want to see consistency, with passing, serving, defense, you know, low eras, keep up our communication and energy and just have fun and win,” Perno said with a smile.
