Pebblebrook advances to 5th consecutive GHSA state tournament with 65-54 win over Newnan
On Tuesday, in a win and you're in situation for both the Pebblebrook Falcons and Newnan Cougars girls basketball teams, the Falcons would come away with a 65-54 win, advancing them to their fifth consecutive Georgia High School Association girls basketball state tournament appearance. Allowed it was an 11 point margin of victory for Pebblebrook, what was most impressive was the fact that they had to pick up the win with only six players on the roster as they had multiple players out due to injury. However, that did not stop the the Falcons from controlling the game throughout the night. Once Pebblebrook took a 10 point lead in the second quarter, they would maintain a double digit lead for most of the game with the exception of when the Cougars were able to cut the Falcons lead down to nine points, but that would not last long as the Falcons would go on to soar to victory. Pebblebrook's Jayla Proctor finished with 23 points and teammate Kania Seymour added 22 points. Watch highlights and post game interview with Pebblebrook head coach, Tina Hadley below now!
