On the Tuesday, the Pebblebrook Falcons returned to action looking to end a three game losing streak as they visited the Campbell Spartans, who entered the night winners of four in a row, for an early region showdown in which the Falcons would get off to a good start as they were able to close out the opening quarter with a 24-19 lead.

In the second quarter, the Spartans would keep the battle closely with the Falcons, however would still be outscored 15-12 in the period by Pebblebrook, who took a 39-31 lead into the locker room at the half. But in the third quarter, Campbell would get back within five points of the Falcons as they opened the period on a 5-2 run, led by a six point performance by Bernard Harris in the quarter, to cut the Falcons lead and trail 41-36.

Yet, being able to withstand the flurries of the Spartans, Pebblebrook would close out the quarter on a 12-7 run from there as sophomore, Anthony Moon's seven points in the quarter would help them take a 53-43 lead to start the final period, which the Spartans would actually win, outscoring Pebblebrook 15-12, but that would not be enough to overcome the 10 point deficit to start the period as the Falcons picked up the 65-58 win.

"It's just teaching these guys how to play the right way and to play the Pebblebrook style of basketball," Pebblebrook head coach, George Washington said after Tuesday win as he credited his players for their efforts to pick up the victory and help the Falcons end their losing streak. "The thing I've been preaching all year is we have to be consistent," Washington said his team was able to do throughout the night on Tuesday, however he wants to see done for an entire game.

And while Washington looks forward to his players continuing to improve throughout the season, he praised their efforts in rebounding on Tuesday. "We rebounded the ball well and I'm really proud of the guy, Anthony Moon, the sophomore, he rebounded tenaciously," Washington said, also crediting senior Fallou Dioum for his performance on the boards.

Pebblebrook returns to action on Friday when they host Paulding County at 7:30pm.
