Prince Avenue Christian QB and UGA Signee Brock Vandagriff Earns National QB Honors
On Wednesday, Prince Avenue Christian School’s Brock Vandagriff added another accolade to his high school caree when he was named the National High School Quarterback of the Year by the National Quarterback Club. Vandagriff finished his high school career by leading the Wolverines to the 2020 Georgia High School Association Class 1A Private state title and University of Georgia signee, completed his high final season with 4,169 total passing yards with 46 touchdowns through the air. He also rushed for a total of 503 yards with 17 rushing touchdowns. He threw for 10,087 total yards over the span of his high school career. In a statement on the National Quarterback Club website, President Don Kile had this to say in regards to awarding Vandagriff the honor, “Players all across the country continued to prove that the high school sector is rich with talent, drive and commitment. Brock epitomizes what this award is all about.” Kile also credited Vandagriff’s off the field involvement with his local community as well as his academic performance as attributes to him earning the award. Vandagriff tweeted “An honor and thank you” in response to earning the award.
