Record Setting Day As Westminster Wins 5th Consecutive Swim and Dive State Title
On Saturday, the Georgia High School Association Swim and Dive state championships were held at Georgia Tech and it was a big day for the four time defending state champs, the Westminster Wildcats as both the boys and girls teams looked to win their fifth straight state title. The Wildcats would complete their mission, winning the GHSA 1A-3A state titles, the 29th for the boys and 28th for the girls.
In addition to winning the state titles, the Wildcats would set a few meet records, including the girls 4x50M Relay (1:32.56) and the girls 4x100M Relay. Not to be out done, the Marist War Eagles boys swim and dive team would take the 4A-5A championship for their third consecutive championship, but is would be St. Pius girls knocking off the defending War Eagles for the girls title.
