Warriors Fight Off Wolfpack As North Cobb Opens Region Tournament With 3-0 Win Over North Paulding

On Tuesday, the Georgia High School Association Class 7A Region 3 volleyball tournament got underway at Marietta High School. In the first match of the day, North Cobb faced North Paulding in the best of five series. Back the two teams met during the regular season, North Cobb would sweep North Paulding 3-0 and tonight would have an identical score, however, the Wolfpack made it tough for the Warriors through all three sets. North Cobb's Kayla Johnson played a major role in the Warriors victory as she set up multiple teammates for points, but it was Ellie Boyle that was the beneficiary of majority of Johnson's set ups. For the Wolfpack, Lily Teagle dug deep throughout the night to help North Paulding battle back from several large deficits, but the Warriors would manage to hold off the Wolfpack winning each set 25-21, 25-22 and 25-22.
