Whitefield Academy Celebrates "Senior Night" On The Mat

On Tuesday, the Whitefield Academy Wolfpack wrestling team hosted their “Senior Night” as both Mount Vernon and Cherokee Christian were on hand to participate in a multi-team meet. Seniors in action for the Wolfpack included Grant Young, Jake Green and Collin Schuster. All three got the day going with wins in their first match ups of the day.

Young would battle into the second round of his first match, but would only need 27 seconds of the second round before he would pick up a win by fall. Green would also win his match by fall in the second round, while Schuster would get his victory in the first round with five seconds left before getting the win by fall.

Schuster’s younger brother, Jack had a very impressive day on the mat as well. The younger Schuster would win his first match by fall 10 seconds into the first round and in his second bout of the day, he would need a little longer, but would still get the job done in the first round as he would pick up the win by fall one minute into the match.
